Family harm support services:

Family harm can include domestic violence, elder abuse or neglect and child abuse. You deserve to feel safe and respected in your own home. NZESS offers free, culturally sensitive family harm support in many languages to ensure you are heard and understood.

How we support you:

  • Offer phone and face-to-face meetings to assess your situation and develop next steps.

  • Advocate for safe housing, income support (WINZ) and legal assistance.

  • Create personalised safety plans for you and your children.

  • Advocate for you with the Police, the Courts and other agencies.

  • Provide ongoing support to resolve family conflict and rebuild wellbeing.

  • Provide professional counselling to help you and your family to overcome personal challenges related to family violence.
